Goldenstate College takes another leap as its sponsored auto show and competition drew raves and praises from fellow Generals as well as visitors for its successful showcasing of the grandest vintage cars and bikes to the newest, the furious and the most hi-tech millennium vehicles one could ever witness in one auto and bike show.

Starting off with a motorcade last February 19, the event, which happened to be a part of the celebration of the annual Kalilangan Festival, made its statement as the entries in different categories together with the personal collections of Mr. Warren A. Manilay, the event coordinator and the CEO of Goldenstate College zoomed its way to the main thoroughfares of General Santos City. It created a monstrous traffic that even the arrival and parade of PBB winner Melai could not put the motorcade into a halt.

The Auto and Bike Show and Competition formally opened on February 20 with the cutting of the ribbon of the CEO himself and City Councilor Meg Santos. They were joined by the invited judges who came all the way from Manila and Laguna, officers of the Kalilangan Festival, City Coucilors,  members of the General Santos City Chamber of Commerce, and personal friends and guests of Mr. Warren A. Manilay. Everybody was in awe when they witnessed the participating cars and bikes from different eras outshine each other in terms of their unique and extra ordinary features. The judges really had a difficult time making their choices for the top prizes. Participating Auto and Bike Clubs all over the region were equally anxious and excited to know who among them will bag the top awards. The first day of the event wrapped-up with a party sponsored by San Miguel Corporation with cocktail drinks and pica picas courtesy of the ever supportive wife of the CEO, Mrs. Sara Jane T. Manilay.

The last day of the event culminates with the announcement of winners. Trophies courtesy of Kalilangan Festival and gift packs and certificates courtesy of event sponsors were given to all the winners of the competition. After all, they were all deserving of the awards. But the biggest winner that day was the Goldenstate College Family with its CEO Mr. Warren A. Manilay and the Finance Officer, Mrs. Sara Jane T. Manilay for extending their utmost commitment and cooperation in coming up with the 1ST KALILANGAN AUTO AND BIKE SHOW AND COMPETITION.
