Goldenstate College Celebrates Nutrition Month 2010

Goldenstate College and Preschool Department concluded the Nutrition Month Celebration with a joyful blast. A magnificent Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition opened the event Friday morning, July 30, 2010 at Robinsons Place General Santos Events’ Center. In the afternoon of the same day, the kids along with their very supportive parents witnessed and participated the special presentations and Healthy Food Fashion Show. 
The program was opened by our Consultant and Elementary Head, Ma’am Nely P. Asedillo, MA-TESL. Our very own School President Mam Josie Yap-Tirador, MBA rendered a very special message to the spectators. Much confidence was seen on the kids during the occasion they were like real little models in colorful costumes on the ramp. With the vast support of the teachers and parents the show was more meaningful to the little angels. 

The winners of the Poster Making and Painting Contest were announced during the activity Sophomore 1st Keziah F. Perez, 2nd Rance E. Gencianos, 3rd Cris Daniel C. Federizo, Junior 1st Ruth Nicosia M. Perez, 2nd Elthea Giane Alessandra B. Crispino, 3rd Junald Lawrence B. Veraque, Senior 1st Angela B. Somido, 2nd Kiean G. Fernandez, 3rd Christian Jay M. Roble, Prep 1st Alexandra Nichole S. Manilay, 2nd Mirai A. Okamoto, 3rd Sophia Louise A. Abaquita, Grade 1 1st Ian Fritz G. Orillo, 2nd Andrienne Lei L. Real, 3rd Valerie Heart C. Ong and Grade 2 1st Jan Joshua G. Guevarra, 2nd Fierre Angeline T. Rojo, 3rd Justin Philip P. Nacario.  

Ms. Marie Imelda Espina the Marketing Coordinator of Robinsons Place General Santos with Ms. Precious Gem Carcillar, Leasing Officer picked the three best Mom and Kid Tandem on the ramp and they were Joshua Yuri N. Lim (1st Place on a life size Potato crafted foam), Bernard Antonio Mondido (2nd Place on a fully molded Philippine Lemon Wear) and Venice Morales (3rd Place on a full body Grape Suit). The fashion show was choreographed by Sir Jay Costorio. A group aerobic wrapped up the event. With the big help and guidance from the College Family the show of the Preschool Department was realized and made generally successful. Looking forward to be Healthy all year round!
