With their strength and endurance, the Goldenstate College Martial Arts Club courageously fought their way up to emerge as big winners in the 2nd PBA Jr. Karatedo Cup which was held last September 12-13, 2009 at the Gensan Covered Court. Our young Martial Artists faced competitors from different Colleges here in General Santos City and mightily kicked-off their challengers in different categories.
Under the supervision of Mr. Larry Villagracia, 11 out of the 14 delegates from Goldenstate College went home victorious with 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. This is the first time Goldenstate College joined the competition. With only few months training, the students showed dedication and determination to be in this event and proved that they can beat the odds despite being neophytes. They were all presented and given due accord during the opening of the College Intramurals last September 22, 2009.
