John T. Manilay, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Manilay once again exhibited his White Truck in the recently concluded Gensan Car Show which was held last Sept 22-23 at Gaisano Mall. Bagging the Best School Award in its category, John felt very proud and happy because the White Truck has never lost in all the competitions it has ever joined. The event was in line with the celebration of the city's Tourism Week.
The said Car Show was participated by other car collectors here in General Santos City and showcased different models of automobiles, from vintage to new to set-up cars. The White Truck exhibited by John T. Manilay is a 1917 truck manufactured by General Motors. It is the oldest and the only white truck ever existed here in Gensan. Bought from a personal friend of Mr. Warren Manilay in Manila, he shipped the truck here in Gensan to be a part of the antique collections of the couple. It is now exhibited at the Manilay's Ancestral House located at Purok Malakas, General Santos City.
