ENGLISH COURSE English as a Second Language (ESL)

Objectives for ESL program:

  • Develop the learner's English literacy skills, including speaking, reading, writing , listening and understanding the English language.
  • Reflect the learner's goals while considering their roles as family members, students and in the community, participants, workers and lifelong learners.
  • Provide learners with the skills to apply English accurately and appropriately in a variety of home, community, workplace and academic settings.
  • Use assessment activities to document the learner's progress toward advancement to other training programs, employment, post-secondary education, self-sufficiency, attainment of education, and other goals.
  • Integrate second language acquisition with relevant life experiences by emphasizing development of critical thinking, problem solving and other culturally-specific skills necessary for self-sufficiency.
  • Provide a learning environment that will help ESL learners and integrates their cultural backgrounds and experiences into the instructional process

Official Organizer TUNA SKILLS Olympics for the Tuna Festival Celebration as appointed by the Tuna Festival Council and General Santos City Chamber of Commerce (GSCC)
Jobs Fair & Symposium 2009 organizer in partnership with DOLE, PESO and KCC Mall. Symposium Speakers are coming from DOLE, PESO, PMAP, DFA, CHED, TESDA and the US Embassy in Manila. Over 3,000 job applicants arrived, 72 employers for both local and overseas jobs turn out.

  1. Working with LGU’s in organizing activities for the benefit of  the community and help develop values in creativity, teamwork and achievement of goals. Yearly the College organized the following:

Our very recent program that has been very successful in providing international training to students in the BSHRM, BSTOURISM and BSBA is the STUDENTS INTERNSHIP ABROAD PROGRAM (SIAP).

Students are sent to Singapore for training and cross cultural encounter which can be advantageous to students if completed.
